Leipzig day 3 + Café tip

Hi guys,
after day one and two there is now following day three. This is a little art overloaded but worse a look even so if you don't like art as much. Especially because some pictures look a little like an photoshoot of Inga and not to be forgotten I have a little Café tip/ advice where to go for some delicious food and coffee.
Enjoy Emma xxx

morning:

On day three Inga and I went to the "Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig" (more details here), which is basically an art gallery. Everyone else went to the zoo (more here) but Inga and I aren't to sure on the whole concept of zoo's and we much more prefer art. The gallery had currently a pop-up exhibition called "Gehaltene Zeit", showing Ursula Arnold's, Arno Fischer's and Evelyn Richter's photography. Sadly I wasn't allowed to take pictures and the exhibition stopped at the 3rd of October, but if you are interested click here. Their photography was very interesting because it reflected Germany after the 2nd World War pretty well, but apart from that the Photograph were beautifully.
I also don't have the name of every art piece or the name of the artiest either of the following pictures but if you are interested you can go and walk through the exhibition yourself for a little city trip to Leipzig ;).

I personally preferd the top floor with mainly contemporary art. It's a bit more up my alley.

You know you are in a really nice art gallery when even the ceiling is part of the aesthetics.

Lunch time:

For lunch time we found this little café called "BauBau". It's literally the café of the next gallery we wanted to look at but we figured that out later. The café is really cute. Also just around the corner there is the art, music and drama university, hence there are so many cool and young people in this café and that also means this place is really good for people watching. Outside you can sit on mixed matched chairs and tables that have a slight shabby chic to them. When you walk across the lane you'll have the opportunity to go for a walk with your coffee to go. The whole café is decorated with fairy lights. Inside you sit on old school chairs and 70's benches and the tables have a kind of 80's pattern to them and everywhere are old light bulbs. You can properly tell that I really liked it but not only the decoration is amazing and a reason to go when you are in Leipzig. The food is all home made and they have all kind of organically Lemonade. Everyday they have an homemade soup that get's delivered around 12.00( don't be there at 11.30 like us the next day, if you want the soup ;) ) and two homemade tarts.

Eating at this Café is also a good opportunity to have a look at the close by universities, the Albertina library or the art gallery "Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst". That day we went to the art gallery but the day after we went to the library and had a look at the Universitys quickly before we headed to this café again because it was so nice.

 afternoon:

Sadly I have not many pictures of this gallery because I was already pretty exhausted but I really enjoyed it as well. They show less art but projects related to the art university near by, if I'm correct. It's also very politic related and can be therefore very heavy material to understand but still very interesting.

I also fell in love with the chairs they have there. Wish I could have taken them with me and got away with it ;).

Evening:

After some relaxing we went to the "UT Connewitz" one of the oldest or the oldest cinema of Germany or the world. I'm not entirely sure but what matters was that it was a pretty cool location (pictures here). That evening they showed short films, which were ridiculous funny. Don't forget this trip to Leipzig was a school trip (did I mention that ? Don't know xD ) and doing stuff like that with everyone organized by your teacher was pretty cool.

Tomorrow day 4, the last day, will follow.

Leipzig day 1, 2 + music tip

Hey Guys,
as you may have noticed on Instagram I have been to Leipzig with my history course last week. I very much so enjoyed it. I mainly filmed all of it and soon I'll upload it, but funnily enough I ended up with quite a few pictures, which I want to share with you guys. Here you have day one and two.
Enjoy Emma xxx

Day 1:

We spend a lot of time at tram stations and actually there happened to be a picture of me. Which can be a rare thing when you are the one to own the camera and to take pictures.

We also went to the "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" the Monument of the Battle of the Nations. Its' massive and definitely worse a shot if you visit Leipzig.

This is the inside view of the ceiling.

And this is my friend Clara on the top of the monument with the beautiful view of Leipzig.

In the evening we also went  to a pretty cool bar with massive chandeliers and I tried a new beer mix, which was called something around the lines of " Berlin Weiss". It was basically beer mixed with different juice concentrate. I enjoyed the hollander the most.

Day 2:

This is my friend Inga chilling casually on a wall next to a river. This was the only morning we managed to go for a little walk but it was okay because we did so much walking anyway.
After our little walk we went with everyone to the "Museum an der Runden Ecke", which used to be a Stasi headquarter.
After that Inga, Clara and I went to get some vegan and vegetarian kebab and then we chilled for a little bit until we had to go out again.

Inga was the one to safe us from getting lost because she actually studied the map properly. Which led to Clara and I just following her clueless, but we always ended up at the right place.

In the evening Clara, Inga and I went for some vegan pizza and salad at a place called "Pizza Lab". It's basically a non-profit project and all their profits will financially support local projects that focus on sustainability, ecology, vegan nutrition and animal rights. If you are not hundred percent into eating vegan it's still a cool place, because it has a little bit of a laboratory to it and you can choose your pizza and salad topic from a periodic table of vegetables. After that we went all together without any expectations to a concert of a band called "Jata" and let me tell you they are super sick live. We had the luck and they had the misfortune of getting basically a private concert and I actually ended up buying the CD. Even so I don't own a CD player, which should mean something :D.
Here you have a couple of songs  I enjoyed most and this one is actually available on YouTube so here you go:

Another really good one was "Startime" but I couldn't find that one  on YouTube. If you are interested you can check out their Spotify Profil.

Day three is following tomorrow.

Sunflowers, Summer + Sun // little life update

Hello mysterious people who actually eventually read my blog,

yes if your wondering there are actually a few people who now and then surprisingly read my blog.
I know it does surprises me too, but it also really doesn't matter because like YouTube I'm only doing this for fun and as a memory thing. You wouldn't imagining how much I changed from my first ever post to now. Just a few years past but when your young a few years can be a hell of a lot. Anyway this is a whole other topic.

I wanted to just updated you that since almost half a year my laptop isn't working, which means I can barely just uploade some pictures, but I'll get a new one in the "future". It's a bit of a pity because I have so many pictures of my art and my summer. But for the start here are a few pictures, which I used as a still life pencil drawing.

Even so I didn't managed to uploade any pictures of my summer, I have a video of my summer in England:

Another video of my summer in Germany is going to follow soon. Yes I can promise it's coming soon because it's only missing the music and yes that can be a difficult job too but I'm sure I'll upload it soon ;).

Also here a couple of songs I really enjoyed lately:

To all the people in Germany I hope your exams are going well and try to breath when things get stressful and to all the people in Germany and England starting Uni have lots and lots of fun, soon I'll be join you ;).

See you soon
